The Division of Toxicology is committed to the delivery of excellent patient care, research, and education in the USC Department of Emergency Medicine. The division comprises an outstanding group of physician educators, and continues to grow in size. Clinical and bedside consultations are available at multiple sites including the following hospitals:

  • LA General + USC Medical Center
  • Keck Medicine of USC
  • USC Verdugo Hills Hospital in Glendale
  • Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank
  • Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena

The toxicology service accepts transfers from sites throughout Los Angeles County. To reach the toxicology attending on call 24 hours a day regarding patient emergencies, or transfers, please call 323-442-1604 and ask for the toxicologist on call.


Mission

Our mission at the Division of Toxicology is providing exceptional clinical care of poisoned and envenomated patients, educating medical professionals in the field of medical toxicology, and conducting a wide array of research, including bench research, retrospective studies, and prospective clinical trials.
